We've been through this before, but I wish to add something that I wanted to inject earlier.

Imagine that we are passengers on a cruise ship out on the ocean, and, suddenly,  we find ourselves in difficulty.  There is a possiblity that the ship will go down.

As a result of this potentially grave situation,  the captain feels it is necessary to address us. S/he  gets on the p.a. system and says, "Now don't worry.  Ninety-five percent of you will have access to life perservers and life boats."

bad analogy

Corzine's in favor of universal health care, but done by the Federal government not the state government.  I don't know why this is.  I suppose there's probably some policy explanation.

Geez...I thought that was a pretty good one.

Yes, I think we established that Mr. Corzine favored universal health care earlier; however, since then I heard that Mrs. Clinton, a major advocate...perhaps, THE advocate of such a system would have been satisfied with...95% coverage.

Nah, Working Bee, everyone has to be included if we go in that direction..that has to be the vision and goal.

I'm not arguing with you.  It's a matter of practicality.  Can it be done by a state?

A Bold Statement

Yes, indeed, I believe we can.

Working Bee, a goal as a nation articulated by President Kennedy in the early 60's was to land on the Moon and safely return by the end of that decade.  He did not say..."Folks, we are going to try to get to the Moon, but I'll be satisfied if we travel 95% of the distance.'

No...he made a bold statement, and we did it.

We could make a bold statement with universal health care within our state, too...and do it.

Yes...I believe we could.

not faith-based

This isn't a 'belief' issue.  There are probably reasons that universal health care can't be done at a state level.  You know, because the Federal government regulates the health market.  Anyone from the Corzine campaign want to chime in here?  Why isn't NJ expanding coverate to that last 5%?
