Why Puerto Rican's should vote Corzine

There are two issues Puerto Rican's care about most. education and healthcare. Why? Because many Puerto Rican's live in perpetual poverty born from unfair property taxes.

We come here and take whatever job we can to survive. This often means low wages and no healthcare. The schools in poor areas are generally under funded. This is not just me repeating democrat rhetoric, this has been found to be the case in a number of court cases dating back to 1990 and beyond. Florio lost the election raising taxes to correct this injustice. The republican record on education in NJ has been very poor. They have even tried to change the state constitution so this injustice can remain.

A tax cut of $30.00 or even $300.00 a year isn't going to solve the major problems Puerto Rican's face in NJ. Puerto Rican's need better education in inner cities and healthcare. Getting a $300.00 tax cut isn't going to make you proud to be Puerto Rican. Any one can get that. Having an educated Puerto Rican people will.

We must reward Gov. McGreevey's and Codey's efforts to increase education funding by voting for Corzine. If Corzine doesn't win it sends a message to the politicians that investing in education in poor areas doesn't return votes and our people will continue to live in perpetual poverty.
