Filibuster again

In more than four years in the White House, George Bush has sent 229 judicial nominations to the Senate for confirmation and the Senate has confirmed 214 of them, ten have been blocked, and I am not sure about the disposition of the others. Bush has had a remarkable confirmation rate. Bill Clinton never had that high a confirmation percentage. The whining from the Republicans amounts to a complaint that George Bush is not a monarch. That's just too darn bad. What this is really about is that the Republicans are getting ready for Rehnquist to step down, and they must be preparing to nominate somebody really awful if they are making noises like this ahead of Rehnquist's departure.

You're right

No one has ever had the success rate at judicial nominations that Bush has had.  This is nothing more than a spoiled child wanting everything they see.

As far as the SCOTUS goes, I'm sure they are getting ready to nominate either Thomas or Scalia.

Christian Liberal is not an oxymoron.
