Best Commercial Yet!!!

Thanks to Carl Riccio for being willing to bear the slings/arrows/distortions that the Republican smear campaign has unleashed on him.

These "people" have no shame.

I would love to see a joint news conference with Jon Corzine, Carl Riccio, and some artculate medical experts on this subject.

Embryonic stem cell research is one of the keys to a whole new kind of regenerative medicine that can revolutionize human life as we know it.

Anything that could repair spinal cord tissues could also help out with ALL manner of degenerative/acute back problems.  Imagine the ability to regenerate discs and the whole physiology of the spine...virtually everyone has back problems sooner or later: THAT'S a pretty large constituency to appeal to!

It might not happen in my lifetime; but this kind of genuinely curative technology could result in real organic repairs of just about anything that breaks or wears out in the human body.  Imagine the effect on quality and quantity of life!!!   We're talking eventually restoring sight, hearing, limbs, you name it!

To allow the likes of a Doug Forrester who is bound by a simplistic fundamentalist religious ideology (in re this issue) to stifle this promising technolgy IS indeed a sin.

If most people actually understood all the implications, this issue alone could dominate the campaign.

I hope we come to a time when we spend as much time and money to improve the quality of human life as we now do (with our global militaries) to destroy it.

I'll bet that for ten billion bucks you could assemble two hundred of the worlds most creative/intelligent experts in this field into a kind of creative community and give them the rescources and direction to carry forth a "crash program" that could cure all spinal cord injuries within 5 years!   And again, the "fallout" would help all of the rest of us who are temporarily able bodied.

Ten billion; what's that?  About two months of what we spend in Iraq to kill people and to keep Halliburton obscenely profitable?

Again, we must elect Jon Corzine; but if we fail to push and empower him to actualize his highest ideals as a leader the fault will be ours...

New Jersey has the potential to become the model for the most progressive/humane/prosperous/healthy state in the USA.  Let's actualize that possibility!!!
